The border option in dvd-slideshow will add a border around each image during the slideshow:

Usage:
The border option can be used on the command-line in the following way:
dvd-slideshow -border 50 inputfile.txt
or, it can be set within the input file using the variable:
border=50
each example will enable a 50 pixel border around the image. The current background will be seen behind the image.
Applied to the following actions:
- normal image
- cropped image
- kenburns effect
- scroll effect
Not applied to:
- Title slide
- Titlebar slide
